We invest in established Australian businesses where our capital, experience and networks can help unlock the next stage of growth. We focus on fundamentally strong companies and work alongside management to create value through a combination of strategic growth initiatives, operational improvement, disciplined capital allocation and appropriate capital structures.
We look for opportunities where we have a differentiated perspective, including businesses or sectors that may be misunderstood, undercapitalised or undergoing structural change. Our team’s investment experience, sector knowledge and networks allow us to assess complexity and risk while remaining focused on the underlying quality and long-term potential of the business.
We typically invest in profitable businesses with sustainable positive EBITDA, established operating track records, strong market positions and clear opportunities for further growth. Our investments are generally in businesses with enterprise values of around $50-100 million, although we have flexibility where the opportunity warrants it. Our principal areas of focus include Business Services, Industrials & Manufacturing, Professional & Real Estate Services, Healthcare & Education, and Financial Services.
We invest our own capital alongside our investment partners in every transaction. This alignment is fundamental to how we operate: we approach each investment as owners, make decisions with a long-term perspective and share directly in both the risks and rewards.
We also recognise that selling a business is rarely just a financial transaction. Founders and business owners often care deeply about their employees, customers, reputation and what happens to the company after they step away. We are comfortable with flexible transaction structures and work with owners to develop solutions that meet their objectives, whether that involves a complete exit, retaining a meaningful equity interest or transitioning leadership over time.
Through the Quintet Partners Navigator Program, we also partner with accomplished executives to identify and acquire established businesses. The program provides experienced leaders with a pathway to become significant equity-owning executives, while giving business owners an additional succession option backed by experienced investors and long-term capital.
